The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports that hurricanes have grown in strength and violence since the 1980s as the climate has warmed. Climate change produced by environmental devastation has been cited as a major reason for the growing frequency of hurricanes.

Also, immigration policies under the government of President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We discuss how these policies affect the most vulnerable migrant communities, including migrants of color. Our guest is Carl Hamad-Lipscombe. Carl is a veteran policy strategist, movement builder, writer and advocate for immigrant rights, criminal justice reform, and racial equity.
